  1. Summed up in one sentence The one in which the ninth Doctor makes us all cry a lot because we love him so much. 2. The Doctor  He goes through a lot of changes in this last episode, and I do mean more than in the physical regeneration way. This entire season has been a journey of transformation for him, starting from the moment he met Rose. Though all the Doctors have very similar core personalities and behaviors, Nine is on the serious, guilt ridden, and combative side of the spectrum. He was just heavy, despite his delightful moments  of humor and whimsy. But Rose helped both his hearts to soften and lighten, giving him someone to believe in and care for and love.  We see his final moment of metamorphosis (before the literal one that is) when the leader of the Daleks asks the Doctor if he is a killer or a coward, because the Doctor has the choice to kill the Daleks, but it also ends up killing humans too, or allowing the Daleks to live so they can transform the humans into Dalek

  1. Summed up in one sentence The one in which the Doctor and company get stuck in extremely deadly game shows, and Captain Jack isn't allowed to say hello to anyone. 2. The Doctor  It's incredibly hilarious to find the Doctor stuck on awful reality tv. And not only is the show awful, but it has deadly consequences. My favorite part is when the program tells him he's on public television so he's not allowed to swear and he says, "You've got to be kidding me." Yes, the last of the time lords, the mighty time traveler is stuck in a morbid version of Big Brother, where you don't only get evicted from the house, but you get disintegrated.  But the Doctor quickly sees not all is what it seems. For one, he's able to exit the show unscathed and is allowed to explore the television station, which of course happens to be the one they visited several episodes back in "The Long Game," only 100 years later.  1. Summed up in one sentence The one in which the villain everyone forgets about comes back again, which I certainly completely forgot about. 2. The Doctor He is forced in this episode to come to terms with his destructive nature as he and his team of companions come across one of the green, oversized baby, farting aliens that was the only one who survived the conclusion of "World War Three." She's once again trying to destroy earth so she can use the explosion to escape earth and go somewhere nice, I presume.  The Doctor and his team considers themselves well within their right to capture her and take her back to her home planet where she will suffer the death penalty for her crimes. Unfortunately for the Doctor and company, it will take time for the TARDIS to reboot before they can send her to her punishment, which gives her plenty of time to attempt to manipulate them.  Most of her efforts are focused on the Doctor since he's in charge. She's able to manipulat

 1. Summed up in one sentence The one in which you start out very scared and then end up crying like a little baby (or I do at least . . . .) 2. The Doctor  The Doctor solves two mysteries in this episode, the first one being that the villain isn't actually a villain, but just some nanogenes that were actually trying to help people, but got a little confused. But the ultimate mystery he solves is why the child is looking for his mummy: because Nancy isn't the older sister to Jaimie, but his mother. She lied to everyone, including her own son to probably make life a little better for the both of them.  But the Doctor helps her accept the truth, and urges her to tell the child that she is his mummy. When she does, and the nano bot things finally understand what to do to fix the child, the Doctor sends the nano bots to fix everyone else. I will talk more of this part in the last section, but the Doctor's excitement and tenderness when he's able to save everyone are overwhe

 1. Summed up in one sentence A freaky child with a gas mask follows people around, and it is terrifying (YAY FOR HORROR WHO!!!) 2. The Doctor It's fun to see the Doctor walk around in a time period he knows well. It's like he's perusing a favorite book he's read many times and continues to discover new favorite parts as he meets new people. For most of this episode he follows around a group of poor, homeless children who are guided with a gentle hand by Nancy, a young woman that scouts empty homes from which they pillage food. This is the first time we see how well the Doctor can get along with children, mentioning that he knows what it's like to lose his children and grandchildren. He respects their vulnerability and has the impulse to protect and nurture. He especially has a difficult time coping with this zombie-like child wondering around creepily asking for his mummy. You can see he really wants to look past the fact that this isn't an ordinary child and t
