This last Tuesday, our group went on a walk in Kent that took most of the day. We took a train out to Kent and saw beautiful country on the way. Kent is a town with gorgeous rolling hills and vast lavender fields. Here are some images of my experience in Kent
Here is a street that a canal has flooded. Apparently, that's always how it is! Cars just drive through the canal like it's nothing.
Brave souls in our group actually braved the canal street.
And we got to play with the ducks that resided in the canal. I tossed out a bit of bread and they came squawking.
After relaxing and feeding the ducks, we continued our journey through the country.
I felt as if I were walking through a collection of computer desktop photos.
And then we made friends with the Kent horses!
They were very friendly indeed! They just walked up to us, put their faces next to ours, and let us pet them. I was overcome with a strong desire to go horseback riding!
The weather was incredibly fickle, more so than Utah I would even dare to say. It was chilly and rainy, then sunny and quite hot, all in a matter of a few minutes.
But it was all beautiful, no matter what the weather decided to do.
One of the many lavender fields.
Not going to lie, I had the Sense & Sensibility soundtrack in my head as I walked through the flower-bespeckled fields.
We then approached a church with a decaying cemetery.
And thus closes my day in Kent! Absolutely beautiful in every way. I was almost not going to go because I had a pretty nasty cold. But I figured I might never venture in Kent ever again, and I shouldn't let a little cold take that opportunity from me!

Graveyards! You should've had a picnic in it... and read morbid poetry!
