Tonight I enjoyed a lovely evening walk with my two roommates Dezi and Ariatna. We first took a stroll around Kensington Gardens, directly across the street from our flats.
It was slightly chilly, but the wind was very refreshing. I feel like I was in genuine greenery, not the fake kind that is in Utah. Those those plants really naturally grow there and the air feels so fresh and has the perfect level of humidity. Just enough to make you take a deep breath and go "Ahhhhhhhh." When the wind rushes through the leaves of the trees, it's a very soothing sound, and much quieter than in the Utah mountains with the quaking aspen leaves.
By this time it was really beginning to get dark. The frantic British police were driving around in their puny cars telling us the park was closed and to get out. I was afraid my camera wouldn't be able to get any good pictures this late, but I think this picture really captures the mood. It was gray everywhere, the pond reflecting the late, overcast sky. It wasn't completely silent, but it sure felt quiet, and very serene.
Then we went out into the city to get groceries. I took night city pictures on the way. I may have been catering to my little brother Dain, who I know would really appreciate the red double-decker buses.
Isn't this wonderful?!? It's Goats Tavern!!! I think that is just great.

Beautiful pics! I especially love the one with the blurry double-decker. Very artsy. :) And everything is so green!
ReplyDeleteI am still so jealous but glad you are having fun. The goats head sounds like a harry potter/ english place. Keep posting, I look forward to it. London Meg
ReplyDeleteKensington Gardens right across the street from your flat?!! It's all so beatiful. Reminds me of a combination of all the English novels we've read!
ReplyDeleteIt all just seems so magical. I love how you describe everything, the wind in the trees and the feel of the air. I am SO enjoying reading your posts. I hope you keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThe blurry double decker is so Harry Potter!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love you with your cute umbrella! Thanks for posting so frequently!
